About
Wholesome MV is a community-driven wellness hub on Martha’s Vineyard.
We bring together movement, mindfulness, recovery, and real-life education through yoga, fitness, contrast therapy, and collaborative programming. From schools to studios, businesses to backyards, we create experiences that support both individual growth and collective wellbeing.
We’re not a traditional brick-and-mortar studio. We’re a flexible, island-rooted network of teachers, partners, and spaces — working together to make wellness more accessible, more collaborative, and more sustainable for everyone involved.
Dedicated to Community Wellbeing
The island is a special place to so many. From the year-rounder to the day-tripper, the island brings lots of joy to the world. We want to celebrate all the businesses, organizations, and individuals that make this place the joy that it is. If you're interested in collaborating, helping out, or supporting our mission, don't hesitate to get in touch. We are excited to hear from you!
Our Story

Wholesome MV began when Jason moved to the island and started teaching yoga wherever he could — local studios, private homes, outdoor spaces. What began as small classes quickly grew into something bigger.
Jason expanded his work into the island, launching Confidently Sensitive, a program supporting children and individuals with special needs through mindfulness and movement. He also brought yoga and life skills into the high school classroom, blending breath work with practical lessons from his background as a CPA — teaching not just presence, but financial literacy and real-world tools. Around the island, he became known simply as Yogi Jay.
Lou’s story started here. Born and raised on the island, he built a sauna and cold plunge company from the ground up — first assembling plunges in a garage, then manufacturing and shipping them beyond the Vineyard. But what mattered most to him wasn’t just the product — it was the people. Lou began bringing his sauna and plunge to community events, businesses, and gatherings, giving islanders a chance to try something challenging, healthy, and new.
When Jay and Lou met, it was clear they were building toward the same vision: wellness that feels local, collaborative, and community-first. They joined forces under the name Wholesome MV, expanding the mission into something bigger — a hub for teachers to be supported properly, for partners to collaborate meaningfully, and for the island to gather around practices that build resilience, connection, and strength.
Wholesome MV isn’t just classes or contrast therapy. It’s a growing community built on shared purpose — on the mat and off.
Jason Mazar-Kelly, known to many as YogiJay, is a yoga and mindfulness teacher, CPA, and community builder based on Martha’s Vineyard. He founded WholesomeMV as a platform for accessible, collaborative wellness rooted in both deep practice and practical systems.

For over a decade, Jason has guided students across beaches, farms, schools, studios, and community spaces throughout the Island. He works with high school students, folks with mental differences, athletes, older adults, families, and individuals navigating stress, transition, and growth. His teaching integrates yoga, breathwork, meditation, and yoga philosophy in a way that is strong, grounded, and relevant to modern life. Jason's mission is clear: to help people remember their awesomeness more often than not.
Jason believes that community is not a byproduct of wellness — it is the practice itself. When people move, breathe, and gather together, they reconnect to their own steadiness and to one another.
Beyond the mat, Jason carries these values into his work as a CPA and in his involvement with local affordable housing and community initiatives. He believes wellness is infrastructure. It is built intentionally, through collaboration, thoughtful design, and shared responsibility.

WholesomeMV reflects that belief. In partnership with Lou and a growing network of Island teachers and organizations, the platform continues to expand — from outdoor classes and school-based programs to sauna and cold plunge gatherings, collaborative events, and accessible offerings that bring people together across backgrounds and generations. The vision is simple and long-term: strengthen individuals, strengthen community, and create more moments of remembrance and happiness on Martha’s Vineyard.
