-
How does the sauna + cold plunge experience work?We recommend rotating between the sauna and cold plunge in 1–3 rounds. Each round can look different depending on you and your intention, but a good starting point is 10–15 minutes in the sauna followed by a 1–3 minute cold plunge. Our team will guide you through best practices if it’s your first time!
-
Where can I use the trailer? You can either book our community space in beautiful Chilmark or we can bring the trailer to you! Whether you’re planning a private event, a team retreat, or a wellness pop-up, we make it easy to set up and soak in the experience. All booking requests will be confirmed to ensure your address is accessible to bring the trailer to. Given the landscape of the island, there are certain roads and places not accessible. If this is the case, we will ask you to come to our community space for your experience.
-
How much space do we need for the trailer? The trailer needs a flat, stable surface and a wide enough space to turn around — The total size of the sauna plunge trailer is 26' x 8.5'. Driveway, yard, or venue parking lots all work great.
-
Is there anything I need to prepare at my location?Just a clear space for the trailer and access for us to pull in and set up. No power hookup needed. We recommend a spot near a outdoor faucet for easy fill up of the cold plunge tubs. If you do not have water access, we will fill prior.
-
What do I need to bring?Just a towel, a water bottle, and your favorite comfy clothes or swimsuit. We’ll provide everything else you need to have a safe and restorative experience.
-
Is this suitable for beginners?Totally. Whether it’s your first time trying contrast therapy or you’re a seasoned sauna fan, our setup is beginner-friendly. We’ll walk you through everything and let you move at your own pace.
-
Can I combine this with a yoga or fitness class?Yes! You can add a private yoga class or movement session with one of our instructors before your sauna + plunge booking. It’s the ultimate full-body reset.
-
Can businesses or wellness studios collaborate with you?Yes! We partner with local gyms, studios, and wellness providers to bring contrast therapy to your community. Ask about our community partner sessions.
-
How many people can use the trailer? Our Sauna/plunge is the biggest mobile contrast therapy trailer in the northeast! The sauna has the capacity for 12 individuals at once. The two cold plunges support 4 people at once. We find most folks come and go between sauna and plunge at different times in their contrast process, so there tends to be a natural flow. For larger events, we’ll work with you to create a flow that works for your group.
-
When & how do I pay?Payment is collected at the time of booking through our online system. We collect a 30% deposit upon booking, and the remaining 70% is charged 72 hours before your booking. For custom events or larger bookings, we may offer split payments or invoice options — just reach out and we’ll set it up. Also, waivers are required for each participant whether you're a community partner or private event. If hosted by a community partner, proof of insurance from the community partner is required.
-
What’s the cancellation policy? We get it — plans change. You can cancel or reschedule up to 72 hours in advance for a refund, minus a 30% deposit. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable but may be eligible for a credit toward a future booking.
-
Is cold plunging good for me?The mental, physical and emotional benefits of cold plunging have been experienced, tested and proven time over. The scientific literature on cold plunging is widely available and the benefits are undeniable.
-
Pre or Post Workout?Cold plunging provides a pre-workout boost with a beautiful array of mental and physical benefits. Basically, it’s the best pre-workout routine you’ll ever f-ing do. Immediately post workout we recommend not cold plunging, or doing contrast therapy with short dips in the cold water between sauna sessions.
-
What are the recommend temperatures for cold plunging?Any water temp under 58° F is cold plunging temperature. Can I get a “let’s go!”
-
How long do I need to plunge to benefit?90 seconds of cold water immersion will give you all the therapeutic benefits. That’s it people. 90 seconds of your life in exchange for health benefits that will help you live longer and have a better quality of life while living.
-
Should I plunge in the morning or at night?Either! Or both. Plunging in the morning will wake your mind and body up. The 250% increase in dopamine works with your body’s circadian clock to wake you the f up. If you plunge in the evening, same deal. You’ll feel that dopamine rush transform to relaxation and expect a solid nights rest.
-
What does the plunge do for me after a run?Cold plunging targets lactic acid and inflammation in the body. The post-run lactic acid built up in your feet and legs wants nothing more than cold water immersion. Crush that lactic acid! Get your legs in the cold water!
-
What does a plunge do for me after weight lifting? It’s more of a pre-workout activity…unless you’re contrasting with sauna, in which case do your thing chicken wing. We would recommend dipping your body in the cold water (as opposed to staying in for a couple minutes) between sauna sessions if doing contrast therapy post anaerobic workout. Limit sauna time to 30 total minutes across sessions if contrasting post anaerobic workout.
-
How does plunging help athletes?Athletes will see benefits in mental clarity, breathing, anti-inflammation, increase circulation, damaged tissued repair…damn there’s a lot more…basically it’s an athlete’s dream.
-
What if I have a medical condition? For Pete’s sake check with your doctor! There’s an astronomically high change your ok to plunge… but either way, safety is kick ass. Check with your doc for medical stuff.
